And the best part is it's all local!

I scream, You scream...

Ice Cream Social & Dedication of Rotary Park

The City and the North St. Paul-Maplewood-Oakdale Rotary Club together have been actively involved in enhancing the Gateway Trail's use.  On July 14, the newly-built trailhead in North St. Paul will get a new name - Rotary Park.  Its dedication is to recognize the partnership and commitment of the North St. Paul-Maplewood-Oakdale Rotary Club who helped make the construction of the trailhead possible and plan to build a park shelter and permanent restroom facility.  Rotary Park will serve community members and users of the trail as an area of recreation, connection and rest.  It is also an ideal location for activities, events and community gatherings.  Presently there are 32 parking spaces, a picnic area, drinking fountain, temporary restroom facilities, interpretive signage and plans to install bike racks.  The trailhead, soon to be known as Rotary Park, will serve a number of people and will add to North St. Paul's park system as well as better connect users to the downtown core.

Join the excitement at the Ice Cream Social and Dedication and enjoy a complimentary sweet and chilly treat!

When & Where: SAT July 14, Noon-2PM @ the Gateway Trailhead (off of North St. Paul Drive and 2nd Street near the wind turbine)

A New Beginning...

North St. Paul is not your typical "small town." The rich history of North St. Paul dates back to 1887, when Visionary, Captain Henry Castle, embarked on an extraordinary endeavor and envisioned a thriving and prosperous community outside of the cities. In keeping with tradition, and the mission here at City Hall, we feel it is important to recognize those events and individuals that are the life and breath of this remarkable City.

Celebrate North St. Paul is more than a blog. It is a celebration and manifestation of the customs and creativity that have been born over the years of the collective efforts of community members and public servants alike; they are what make North St. Paul so special and unique. Our hope is that this blog will serve as an outlet to keep our readers and residents engaged and interested in the happenings of our Community as we celebrate 125 successful years, along with many more to come. We believe it will help make the people we serve feel a bit more connected to everything there is to love about North St. Paul.

We are excited about the history of North St. Paul, the extraordinary people who have helped shape it, and the future memories that have yet to be created. We can only hope that the future will be as bright and fruitful as has been the past. We think it will be.

Welcome!
